Natives Using Modern Technology to Protect their Environment

A friend sent me the link to this interesting article about Amazon natives using Google Earth and GPS to protect their resources. This is another proof that we just have to trust our partner communities that they can use these modern technologies, like what CERD has been trying to do in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur where fisherfolk are taught to use the computers and analyze data gathered from resource monitoring activities.
