Typhoon Bopha Struck CERD Project Sites

Typhoon Pablo, the strongest typhoon to hit the country this year, struck an area not usually visted by typhoons - Mindanao, including CERD project areas in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. The typhoon hit Hinatuan from 2:00 am to 9:00 am on December 4, 2012. Partial report from MDRRMC (as of December 6, 2012) showed that 220 households from 18 barangays suffered damages to properties amounting to Php 12,975,000.00. Of this, 122 households were from 8 CERD-assisted barangays with damages amounting to Php 7,235,000.00.

 

Partial report on fishery damages was pegged at Php 13,490,500.00 and agricultural damages at Php 16,052,900.00.
